- Price: Both Galaxy S8 and its Plus variant now available to pre-order, with £90 separating the SIM-free prices. You’ll pay £689 for the Galaxy S8 or £779 for the Galaxy S8 Plus. Unlocked mobiles claims to have the lowest UK SIM-free prices – £674.98 for the Galaxy S8 and £764.98 for the Plus. Both phones should be in stock 19 April. - Screen size: Both variants of the Galaxy S8 have dual-curved-edge displays with 2960×1440 pixels and Gorilla Glass 5. The only difference is their size, with the Galaxy S8 measuring 5.8in and the Galaxy S8 Plus 6.2in.
- Battery capacity: Naturally, given the extra room available inside the case, the Galaxy S8 Plus has the larger battery capacity of the two. It’s rated at 3,500mAh, while the standard model has a 3,000mAh battery. Both support fast wired- and wireless charging.
- Dimensions: The Plus is the larger of the two Samsung phones, by a full centimetre in height but the difference is less noticeable in width and depth. The standard Galaxy S8 measures 148.9×68.1×8.0mm, while the Plus is a slightly bigger 159.5×73.4×8.1mm.
