Pre-Requisites:

Before going ahead check that your Moto G3 has a proper battery backup. This is essential as a lack of battery power can power off your device while the process is going on. Hence it is highly recommended to charge the battery of your device at least up to 60%.

It is necessary to back up the entire data present on your phone as everything needs to be wiped in this flashing process. So make sure you backup contacts, applications, notes, messages, call logs etc.

Motorola mobile-specific USB drivers must be installed on your computer. This helps in detecting your phone when connected to a computer. You can manually install the drivers from the link given below.

The bootloader of your Moto G3 must be unlocked before moving ahead. Refer to our guide to unlock bootloader:

Also, your Moto G3 should have root access. A custom recovery like CWM (Clockworkmod) or TWRP must be flashed before proceeding ahead. If you haven’t installed yet, then follow our tutorial given below:

The USB debugging mode must be enabled on your phone. For doing so, follow the path Menu->Settings->Developer options ->USB debugging. If you can’t see the Developer option then go to Settings->About Phone and tap 7 times on the Build number. This will make the Developer option appear in the Settings menu.
