The media tools built into macOS and Windows 10 don’t include DVD ripping features, and while there are free tools available they’re far from perfect. Most are painfully slow and difficult to use, pushing users through multiple stages when all they want to do is rip. Many just can’t cope with the copy-protection mechanisms on some recent DVDs....

Announced by Samsung Display, the range now includes a brand new 77in screen size, the largest panel produced thus far for its Quantum Dot OLED TVs. It is joined by 55in and 65in options, the same panels seen on the 2022 QD-OLED S95B TVs. The South Korean tech giant says that this year’s QD-OLED TVs can reach up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. This means they should be brighter than LGs 2023 OLED range, which is estimated to be around 1,800 nits peak brightness, according to Tech Going....

In a PlayStation Blog post, senior VP of platform planning & management Hideaki Nishino confirmed that a “next-generation VR system will be coming to PS5, enabling the ultimate entertainment experience with dramatic leaps in performance and interactivity” and teased a more immersive virtual experience than ever before.
